I'm feeling uncharacteristically optimistic about things at the moment...

It'll pass I'm sure.

I have a gallery show that's running the month of November. I need to get ready for it.

I'm like Costco... Big and not fancy, but I dare you to not like me.

Gather round now children, I have a tale to tell...

I was making dinner last night for my wife and I, an Italian stew I'd call it... I started out by browning the garlic and rosemary chicken sausages I bought at the local farmer's market the day before. After they were nice and brown, I took them out to rest and started to sweat a large sweet yellow onion with garlic and evoo in the sausage drippings. Once the ingredients were cohabiting, I added some stewed tomatoes, a yellow pepper and finished it off with some tomato paste. After tasting, I decided that the meal before me needed a little something-something. My answer to the dilemma before me was to add some dried chili's that I'd been given by my friend James. Now these aren't your run of the mill chili flakes, the package is from Japan with zero english on it, so I can't tell you what they are exactly... but they're good. Real good. And they're more like really little chili pepper rings. Regardless, I crushed some up in the palm of my hand and sprinkled them into my concoction. I threw everything into a casserole dish and threw it into the oven to bake for 2 hours.

I then rinsed my hands off and went to go chill out while dinner was in the oven.

Now while I was sitting on the couch, I noticed that my eyes were kind of bugging me... I just figured it was the onion or something. So I was rubbing my eyes and an ungodly pain shot through my eyes... now I've broken bones, recovered from major surgery, been in car accidents, had a root canal, had so many stitches that I can't remember them all, but my point is that this was possibly the worst pain I had ever felt before. I physically couldn't open my eyes without it feeling like I was being jabbed with an icepick. Shit, it hurt even with them closed but it was no where near as if they were open.

Luckily my wife was there to lead me, eyes clenched shut swearing like a mf, to the sink to try and rinse my eyes out... I directed the faucet towards each eye rinsing them out individually. All the time trying to figure out what the fuck I had gotten in my eyes. And christ did it hurt rinsing them out...

Long story short (well not really short), don't crush chili pepper's in the palm of your hand with your thumb and then minutes later rub your eyes with said thumb.

I'm a fucking genius.

I subscribe to google alerts and they're quite handy for a multitude of reasons. The biggest advantage is of coarse, whenever someone feature's your work (or uses your name) you get notification. Google alerts is how I found out about my 2nd feature over at Fleshbot... the first being a little over a year ago.

Here's a link to the feature... the site is definitely NSFW

I love the title of the article "Up A Tree With Nothing To Wear"

It made me laugh :rofl:

By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection, which is the noblest;
second, by imitation, which is the easiest;
and third, by experience, which is the bitterest.

I hope it doesn't get scared when it sees its dismembered brethren.

I had a really good day today... a very productive day in fact. Got together with Amythia :icondarkeramythia: finally, after we had met for coffee many months ago. It was one of those shoots that rejuvenates the soul.

I will have much to show in the coming days...
